- Any Bandit Operator Tips?
- OPS 101 - Bandit
- Uses for Shock wires
- Reinforced walls
- Barbed wire
- Deployable shields
- Strategic uses of shock wires
- Place in barbed wire near all drone entries to kill drones during prep, then move them after
- Use on reinforced walls to prevent Thermite breaching or injure people who might touch them in tight hallways
- Use on barbed wire underneath trap doors or windows to stun on entry (they can shoot the battery though)
- Use on a deployable shield that's blocking an entryway to injure them when they vault it
- Use them away from areas likely to be hit by Fuze's Cluster Charge or Thatchers EMP grenades
- Shock wires are better than Mute's jammers for stopping drones and Thermite for the following reasons
- It kills drones, so they can't be recovered even after device is destroyed
- It destroys Thermite's breach charge so he can't recover it
- Use Mute instead for Castle's barricades on windows to prevent access from breaches
- To prevent drones from jumping your electric barb wire
- Use barricade doors
- Place 2 at the top/bottom of a busy stair case so jumping one will hit the other
- Combine with Mute's jammer to catch them on the end of the jump
- Try and place your battery where its less likely to be shot
- Be careful of accidentally destroying the following devices when placing your shock wires
- Mute's jammers
- Jager's ADS
- Kapkan's traps
- Smoke's gas
- Nitro cells
- Loadout selection
- The M870 Shotgun is amazing at close range, will often one shot kill. Blows huge holes in walls for peeking.
- Jager has the same shotgun, but his Carbine is better for him
- If you are going to roam, decide on likely engagement distances before choosing the shotgun or rifle. He has 3 Speed so you can close distances pretty fast to shotgun people.
- Use a silenced pistol when roaming
- Don't use a laser sight when roaming or you might give away your position
- Get barb wire so you can have it to use with your shock wires
- The M870 Shotgun is amazing at close range, will often one shot kill. Blows huge holes in walls for peeking.
- Shock wire is countered by Thatcher's EMP grenades and IQ's electronics detection
- The Shock wire makes an audible hum that gives away its position

- How to Play Blitz - Tutorial
- Blitz has no chose for primary weapon so make sure to get a laser sight for hip fire accuracy and to line up your shots
- Flash shield usage
- Only hits those looking at it (like a flashbang) so draw attention first
- The effectiveness depends on distance
- Mute's jammer WILL stop the flash from working
- You have 5 uses, 1 per enemy so try and use them that way
- Sidestep after flashing to avoid taking blind fire
- Save ammo by melee killing them after they fire out their clip
- You can blind team mates, so communicate well
- Crouch and aim for head height to tilt your shield up higher and protect your head
- Use corners and leaning to hide most of your body when peeking
- Use drones to prep to flash an enemy and be aware of your shield getting flanked by multiples
- Combos with
- Montagne/Fuze for shielding and shooting

Castle - Bulletproof Barricades - FBI SWAT / Defender
Wiki Page / Operator Spotlight
YouTube Videos
Other Guides
- Castle’s walls can be destroyed by Sledge or about 15 melee hits even if jammed
- Using Castle's Barricades
- Castle can use his barricades for both doors and windows
- Can be shot through by Glaz and Tachanka
- Can be destroyed by
- Breach charges (normal, thermite, ranged)
- Grenades (usually only partial destruction)
- Sledge's hammer (1 hit)
- Melee attack (12 hits)
- A Fuze cluster charge placed on a Castle barricade leaves a hole big enough to shoot through
- Mute's jammer can prevent normal and thermite breach charges from working on it
- Kapkan can place lasers on it, but unless jammed, the barricade will most likely get blown up, wasting the trap
- Can be shot under like normal wooden door barricades
- Can give away the objective position when used on outside windows
- Cannot be electrified with Bandit's Shock wires
- If you or a team mate rips down one of your walls, you get it back in your inventory
- Don't barricade your team in right away, it's very annoying and they will tear them down
- Melee small holes in the barricades to shoot through down long hallways
- Go prone and shoot at feet as the only Operator who can get through without walking up is Ash
- Loadout
- Use him with the shotgun and defend the objective
- Use deployable shields
- Combos with
- Mute to jam and prevent normal breaching
- Reinforced walls to make breaching harder
- Counter to
- Blitz and Montagne, they are slow, noisy and can't shoot through them
- Countered by
- Ash can breach the walls from a distance
- Sledge can breach them quickly even if jammed
- Fuze can cluster charge through them
Doc - Revive Pistol - GIGN / Defender
Wiki Page / Operator Spotlight
YouTube Videos
Other Guides
- Stim pistol uses
- Self-revive, do this behind cover such as a deployable shield to prevent just getting killed immediately
- Revive others at a distance, preferably while they are also behind cover
- It's good to revive when the enemy turns away without finishing a kill, so you can shoot them in the back
- It's used far more for self-reviving than reviving others, especially with the frequency of head shots
- Bleeding out instead of dying happens more often when armored naturally or by Rook
- Fuze's cluster charge will often leave wounded people to revive
- Pay attention to team mates with high armor or defensive positions where they might need reviving, especially Tachanka
- Use cameras immediately to identify enemy spawn as you have very little to do during prep
- Use a ranged gun (MP5 or P90) to keep your distance and revive others
- Combos with
- Rook, to avoid instant deaths
- Pulse, to avoid getting surprise flanked at the objective
- Tachanka, to keep him alive
- Counter to
- Glaz, who will not always be able to finish the job

- Using Cluster charges
- Works on any wooden surface, as well as Castle's barricades
- Don't limit yourself to just trap doors, use any part of a wooden floor
- Can be jammed by Mute
- The cluster charges can kill through walls, be careful of yourself or friendlies hugging walls outside the room
- The device explodes when done, keep your distance
- Creates a small hole in surfaces that can be shot through after
- Can be placed after a breach charge is already placed if the surface is large enough
- Use when Thermite is blowing a wall to catch the enemies running away
- Can be shot and destroy through the surface if they know you've placed it
- Makes a distinct noise so they know its happening
- Jager's ADS can stop some of the charges (2 per ADS)
- Loadout
- Don't use the shield as it will make your sneaking around much noisier and you get little benefit
- Combos with
- Sledge to fuse an entry than quickly breach during the chaos
- Thermite to trap during a breach
- IQ to detect device placement in a room
- Counter to
- Castle, to cluster through his barricades
- Countered by

- Any tips for playing IQ? She feels underwhelming
- What is the purpose of IQ?
- Using the Electronics detector
- Does not mark the detection for others to see, communication is vital
- Helps locate the objective without drones, as usually most devices are placed near it
- Be careful of false alarms from friendly drones
- Helpful for finding cameras when still learning a map
- Can pinpoint Pulse's exact location when he's using his Heartbeat sensor
- Help teammates avoid traps before breaching a door (Lasers, Nitro, Smoke, Shock wires)
- Help detect Jammers and Shock wire before attempting to thermite or cluster charge
- You can detect the following:
- Bandit's Shock wire
- Jager's ADS
- Mute's Jammers
- Kapkan's Lasers
- Pulse's Heartbeat sensor
- Smoke's Toxic gas cannisters
- Nitro cells
- Cameras
- Drones
- Combos with
- Thatcher to disable with EMP after detection
- Thermite to detect Jammers/Shock wire on reinforced walls
- Glaz to help identify devices to snipe through surfaces
- Fuze to locate devices to cluster charge
- Twitch to identify devices and cameras to shoot out
- Counter to
- Kapkan, Mute, Bandit, Smoke, and Jager to detect their traps
- Pulse to detect his location when he's sensing

- Tachanka to mow through a surface you are trying to detect through
Jager - Anti-grenade Device - GSG 9 / Defender
Wiki Page / Operator Spotlight
YouTube Videos
Other Guides
- Using ADS anti-grenade devices
- They can only fizzle 2 grenades each
- Place them in line of sight of common grenade throwing locations (air or rolling)
- Place them on non-destructible surfaces to avoid them being destroyed easily
- Place them out of line of sight from outside the room, so they can't be easily shot
- They might be renewable by removing and replacing them (unconfirmed)
- Place multiple around an area where Fuze is likely to strike
- Can fizzle EMP grenades, but EMP grenades can also work through walls
- Don't try and reinforce a wall or electrify it after placing one, you will destroy it
- You can pick them back up and move them
- His Carbine Rifle is probably the best defender gun in the game, the m870 shotgun is also awesome
- He makes a great roamer due to his speed and rifle, place your ADS and walls, then leave the objective
- Consider hiding them on the floor behind a deployable shield near the door to make it harder to shoot them
- Combos with
- Mute, to make it harder to get EMP grenades in
- Castle, barricaded windows and doors to prevent easy grenade access
- Tachanka and Doc to protect them from being grenaded
- Counter to
- Fuze's Cluster charge
- Countered by
- Thatcher's EMP
- Thermite destroying the reinforced wall you might put them on
- Twitch shooting them out with the Shock drone
Kapkan - Laser Tripwires - Spetsnaz / Defender
Wiki Page / Operator Spotlight
YouTube Videos
Other Guides
- Using Kapkan traps
- Pretty easy to detect by the bit mounting bolt sticking out the other side
- Usable on both windows and doors, but windows will often be breach charged instead
- Use them somewhere the enemy has already been so they don't suspect it
- Break open part of a door to make them think its safe
- Use them to kill an overly aggressive sledge
- Wooden door debris can sometimes disguise them
- Use them where the enemy usually thinks is safe, such as far away from the objective
- It can sometimes work to trick them on un-barricaded doors they will just sprint through
- Don't waste them on Castle's barricades as those will usually be blown up
- Hide them by placing a deployable shield on the other side that they will have to vault
- Will not be set off by your team mates or enemy drones
- If roaming, keep eyes on one so you can see when they shoot it out and know they are coming
- Combos with
- Mute to prevent normal breach charges blowing them up
- Smoke to push them back into a trap behind them
- Counter to
- Sledge rushes
- Montagne and Blitz shield rushes
- Countered by
- Ash blowing up doors

- Raving about Montagne
- Using the extendable shield
- You must hold down the key to keep it active (consider using another key besides middle mouse)
- Blocks your legs, body, and head from the front only
- Vulnerable to Nitro cells and Toxic gas
- Very slow and vulnerable when switching off to melee or shoot
- Best used to help team mates identify enemy positions or push with them shooting from behind you
- Communicate so you don't get friendly fired stepping in the way
- Can be used like a regular riot shield when not deployed, make sure to crouch so you don't get shot in the legs!
- Combos with
- Blitz, to do a good shield push
- Fuze to identify enemy positions for attacking
- Glaz to expose enemies for sniping

Other Guides
- Tip for Mute: Place Disrupters behind reinforced and Castle walls
- What is the range of Jammers to jam breaching charges?
- OPS 101 - Mute
- Using Signal Jammers
- Use them for stopping drones during prep, then move them
- They can be jumped by drones so use barricades and hard to jump angles to prevent
- Can be shot but not jumped by Twitch's Shock drone
- If placed exactly between two walls, it can jam them both a little
- Can jam windows, walls, and floors
- Jams the following remote controlled devices
- Drones (regular and Shock)
- Normal and Thermite breach charges (not Ash's ranged breach)
- Fuze's Cluster Charge
- Blitz's Shield flash
- If destroyed, anything jammed will be un-jammed and usable again
- Thatchers EMP grenades can destroy jammers through a wall
- Best used on Castle's barricades so to make it difficult to breach or cluster charge windows
- Let Bandit electrify the reinforced walls instead, even without bandit, at least thermite's breach takes time
- Work with Bandit to disable or kill all drones at the start
- Don't reinforce a wall you've placed a jammer next to or you will accidentally destroy it
- Combos with
- Bandit to kill drones and help prevent breaching
- Castle to make breaching barricades harder
- Counter to

- Using Rook's Armor bag
- Drop it immediately so team mates can armor up before running of
- Don't drop it somewhere that all your team mates can't get to it
- The attackers can use the bag too, shoot to destroy it after using if you have less than 5 team members
- Wearing the armor makes it more likely you will bleed out instead of dying immediately
- Rook is a staple defender as every defender benefits from him and he's easy to play
- Use his P90 for close range engagements, or his MP5 for mid range engagements
- His armor, shorter range weapons, and slow movement make him a better objective defender than roamer
- Combos with
- Doc to make revives more likely

- Sledge Guide by a Competitive Player
- Using Sledge's Hammer
- It doesn't have unlimited uses, but its very high
- Works on
- Wood barricades and surfaces
- Castles Barricades
- Barb wire
- Defenders
- You can kill defenders with it, but that's very risky
- Can be used to 1 shot barb wire in the center to destroy it quicker and quieter
- Faster and quieter than a breach charge, also no smoke or debris to block vision
- Good for opening shots up for Glaz or Twitch
- Quickly sidestep after smashing to avoid being shot
- Use to flank during a breach with the breach sound as cover
- Very much a solo/counter roam flanker
- Don't accidentally open up flanks on your team mates
- Don't smash surfaces Fuze will want to use
- Better to smash walls than doors, as Kapkan traps can't be placed on walls
- Combos with
- Blitz for sudden blinding breaches
- Fuze to quick breach after Cluster charges
- IQ to smash surfaces that have devices on them
- Counter to
- Castle

Smoke - Toxic Gas - SAS / Defender
Wiki Page / Operator Spotlight
YouTube Videos
Other Guides
- Using Smoke's Toxic gas
- Detectable by its blinking red light
- Try hiding it in barb wire and detonating when you hear the wire
- Can be thrown through trap doors and windows and detonated mid-air (just like nitro)
- Can kill the hostage as well as team mates
- Watch for tracers when attackers shoot through it so you can run or shoot through and get them
- Hide above door frames
- Throw it on the ceiling in hallways and such instead of the floor, less likely to be seen
- Armed with gas and nitro, he's the best anti-shield operator, both will stick to shields
- Always equip Nitro as his gadget to make him more effective
- Makes a good roamer, especially if you can use the gas to prevent a retreat from your team mates
- Combos with
- Pulse to trigger traps when they are near
- Kapkan to distract them with lasers
- Counter to
- Montagne
- Blitz
- Countered by

Other Guides
- Using Tachankas mounted LMG
- Can be difficult to position, look for the white dot to appear when you can mount it
- Can be dismounted and mounted by team mates as well as enemies
- Can be destroyed by explosions, often killed by Fuze
- Useful for guarding a common entry, especially one that your team mates can flank
- Use it to rip through walls and catch the enemy by surprise
- Can be packed up and moved
- Can shoot through Castle's barricades and Montagne's shield (unverified)
- Use a Deployable shield to protect your lower half, but watch out for close prone attackers
- Combos with
- Doc to revive him
- Jager to protect him from grenades

Other Guides
- Using thermite charges
- Can be placed independent from normal breach charges, allowing you to double breach
- Cannot be used on electrified walls (you will take damage and lose the thermite)
- Can be jammed by Mute's signal jammer, but you can pick it back up or un-jam by destroying the jammer
- Can be destroyed by being shot like a normal breach charge
- Makes a loud sound and visual sparks giving warning, works as a good distraction
- Use normal breaching charges instead when you can, less warning and saves thermite for later
- Good for getting access to reinforced trap doors which can't be jammed or electrified from below
- Use them in combo with an attack from the other side of the room to catch those fleeing
- Thermite is a staple of attacking to make sure you can access heavily reinforced rooms without being bottle-necked

- Jager's ADS
- Mute's Jammers
- Kapkan's Lasers
